The minivan I have has 3 LEDs on the top of the PCB. The foam doesn't have cut outs for them (there's no way the laser can make indent cuts/cuts that don't go all the way through, so I'm sympathetic to this), so the foam didn't sit exactly flush, which meant the plate got pushed up. I cut the foam where the LEDs were and it fits better. Granted that probably compromises the sound a little, so it's a tradeoff.
When first installing the foam, it seemed too thick and with the plate on, some of the switches weren't making contact with the hotswap sockets, so I omitted the plate. After a couple days, I reinstalled the plate and everything seems fine now.
Happy with the product, it's just a little fiddly, and I can chalk that up to me being a novice with plate foam. I'd certainly buy it again, especially if the switches were soldered.
